Hey CiSters! Wyatt and I are going to be running a seminar on the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing '09 on Friday, December 4th at 11:20am in Reynolds room 220. This seminar will be 20 minutes of us telling you all about Grace Hopper. You will have an interesting view into how attending Grace Hopper has affected us and what we gained from it. Gr8 Girls is an initiative headed up by the CIS department outreach liaison that will bring 40 female grade 8 students to campus for a day to learn about computer science. Activities will include a Lego Mindstorms robot workshop, a human computer interaction workshop, and MadLibs in Python. CISters are looking forward to volunteering on May 5th and the opportunity to connect with so many young people!

CISters will be holding our annual elections on Tuesday April 7. Available positions include: President, Vice President Academic, Vice President Social, Vice President Public Relations, and Vice President Finance. Undergraduate and Graduate Representative positions are open as well. If you wish to nominate yourself for a position, simply come out on Tuesday, and join in the election process.
