CiSters Picnic!
Wednesday May 26th 2010 @ Johnson Green, University of Guelph

CiSters is planning a picnic for all the folks who will be around in the summer. We'll be hosting our picnic on Wednesday May 26th at 12:00- ~1:30 right outside of Reynolds on Johnston Green. We'll be providing drinks, snacks and dessert! We hope to see you there.

Gr8 Design for Gr8 Girls
Tuesday April 27 2010, University of Guelph

Gr8 Design for Gr8 Girls is an initiative headed up by the CIS department outreach liaison that will bring grade 8 female students to the University of Guelph campus for a day to learn about computer science.

CISters Annual Elections
Wednesday April 14, 2009, 5:30pm - 6:00pm, Reyn 219

CISters will be holding our annual elections on Wednesday April 14. Available positions include: President, Vice President Academic, Vice President Social, Vice President Public Relations, and Vice President Finance. If you wish to nominate yourself for a position please email Alana Cordick . To have your name printed on the ballot please email her at least 48 hours in advance of the elections. For those people who are interested in the webmaster or year representative positions, these will be appointed by the executive after the elections. Pathfinders Badge Day

CiSters will be hosting a pathfinders badge day. We'll have some fun activities to help 26 pathfinders obtain two of their badges. If you're interested in having a badge day for your own troop feel free to contact us at admin@cisters.ca

This seminar will be 20 minutes of us telling you all about Grace Hopper. You will have an interesting view into how attending Grace Hopper has affected us and what we gained from it. Campus, Gr8 Girls
Wednesday May 5 2009, 8:00am - 6:00pm

Gr8 Girls is an initiative headed up by the CIS department outreach liaison that will bring 40 female grade 8 students to campus for a day to learn about computer science. Activities will include a Lego Mindstorms robot workshop, a human computer interaction workshop, and MadLibs in Python. CISters are looking forward to volunteering on May 5th and the opportunity to connect with so many young people!

Roboticon & Diversity Night

CISters volunteers will be responsible for registration on Saturday morning, and manning an information table all weekend. Diversity Night, on the second floor of Reynolds, will begin at 8:00pm. We will provide cake and refreshments, t-shirt decorating, and a Guitar Hero Tournament with prizes. Join us for some fun on Saturday night!
